Community-based nonprofit land trust founded in 1990 by local farmers and citizens to protect working farmland and forests from development in Washington and Rensselaer counties. Has permanently conserved over 33,700 acres on 182+ properties in the Upper Hudson Valley. Works with landowners on conservation easements, provides farmland access and transition resources, and hosts public programs including guided farm tours, Game of Logging workshops, and the Wild Cider Cup.
