The inaugural Schoharie County Farmers Market launched in May 2025 at the Schoharie County Sunshine Fairgrounds Hall of Agriculture — a Sunday market running through October, organized through a partnership of Schoharie County, Cornell Cooperative Extension Schoharie/Otsego, and SUNY Cobleskill. A newly formed 13-member advisory board oversees development into the county's first destination-scale farmers market. Features fresh local produce, meats, baked goods, specialty foods, family-friendly activities, and live music. A $73,000 USDA FMPP grant application was submitted in 2025 to hire a paid manager, purchase equipment, and fund marketing for long-term growth.
