A fiber scouring (wool washing) facility in Mechanicville, Saratoga County, operated as an initiative of the Hudson Valley Textile Project. Accepts raw (greasy) fleeces from fiber farms, spinning mills, crafters, felters, and carding mills for professional wool washing services. Open to members and non-members. Custom sorting available. Addresses one of the leading barriers to success for HV fiber farmers — access to mid-size lot scouring (100-1000 lbs.) — and plays a critical role in building the regional fiber economy.
