A regional conservation organization founded in 1969 protecting the Catskills through direct land conservation, stewardship, and community partnerships. Holds 17 conservation easements totaling 2,550 acres and owns 367 acres of publicly accessible land including Platte Clove Preserve and Thorn Preserve. Operates the Catskills Visitor Center in Mt. Tremper. Runs the Catskill Stewards program at high-use trailheads, combats invasive species through CRISP, and advocates for Catskill forest preserve funding. A critical land and resource conservation partner for the Catskill community.
